On Saturday, January 11th, the Heath Robinson Museum came alive as the community came together to kick off an exciting and evolving project—a large-scale community collage that celebrates Harrow’s vibrant multicultural identity.
With the guidance of artist Ketna Patel, HRM Learning Officer Claire Linge, and a team of dedicated creative volunteers, the opening event was a joyful celebration of creativity, storytelling, and collaboration. The local community played a central role in starting this masterpiece, piecing together memories, symbols, and stories that reflect Harrow’s rich and diverse heritage.
We’re thrilled to share that the collage is already taking shape—but there’s still plenty of space for you to contribute! Whether you were there on opening day or are just hearing about it now, we invite you to add your own story, sentiment, or artistic touch to this growing artwork.
Visit the Museum and Get Involved
The collage will remain open for contributions until February 8th, 2025, as part of Ketna Patel’s month-long REMIXOLOGY exhibition. Whether you’re inspired by Harrow’s iconic landmarks, personal immigrant journeys, cultural traditions, or the spirit of our community, your voice matters.
Using recycled magazines, newspapers, photographs, and art materials, you can help shape a colourful, collaborative reflection of Harrow’s kaleidoscopic identity. No artistic experience is needed—just bring your ideas, enthusiasm, and creativity!
We’ve also captured some fantastic photos from Saturday’s event, showcasing the early progress and the amazing energy of everyone involved. Be sure to stop by the Heath Robinson Museum to see how it’s coming along and contribute your piece to this evolving tapestry of stories.
