When I retired from my life as a doctor, I wanted to take up new physical and cultural activities. I had always been scared of riding my bicycle but thanks to Veronica Chamberlainâs beginners rides, I lost my fear. In 2015 Veronica was a Trustee of the new build in Pinner Memorial Park which was to become the Heath Robinson Museum. Our first ride started by the foundations and Veronica was looking for a filmmaker to film the building project. My other retirement project was a filmmaking course, and so I filmed the construction of the museum and I have stayed on as the museum volunteer filmmaker for most of the exhibitions and events.
I have made many local friends through the museum which is a delightful cultural hub and educational centre.
I am currently a member of the Committee of the Friends of the Museum and we try to organise many different activities for the Friends, both at the museum as well as outings.
