We are delighted to welcome Timothy Wilcox to deliver our next Expert Talk ' INSPIRING EXAMPLES: British watercolour art in the time of Heath Robinson'.

TIMOTHY WILCOX
Timothy Wilcox is a writer, lecturer and exhibition curator with special interests in British art, in landscape and in watercolour painting. For 20 years he was a museum curator at the V&A, in Liverpool and Hove, then from 2001-03 in the British Museum Department of Prints and Drawings. As a freelance curator and lecturer since 1997, he has curated numerous exhibitions at venues including Tate, The Lowry, the Wordsworth Trust and Dulwich Picture Gallery. He contributes regularly to the Courtauld Institute Summer School and lectures at museums and galleries in Britain, Europe and the USA. Among recent and current projects, Timothy Wilcox contributed 3 essays to the RA 250 Chronicle and essays to the website of Anglo-Australian painter and illustrator Miguel Mackinlay.

Timothy Wilcox is the author of books on watercolour painters Francis Towne, John Sell Cotman and Samuel Palmer and on the Diploma Collection of the Royal Watercolour Society: The glory of watercolour.

Doors open 6:30pm; talk starts 7pm. The museum will be open after the talk until approx. 8:30pm to view the exhibition 'Heath Robinson Watercolours'. Refreshments provided.
