The Gonzovation Conversation

What happens when a single email sparks a creative partnership that redefines how we see extinction and conservation? In The Gonzovation Conversation, filmmaker and writer Ceri Levy takes you on a journey into his extraordinary collaboration with legendary artist Ralph Steadman. From an innocent request for a painting of an extinct bird to the birth of The Gonzovation Trilogy, this talk delves into the fascinating stories behind their ground-breaking work.

Ceri will share behind-the-scenes tales from the Steadman studio, revealing the imaginative process behind their art, the secrets of the “dirty water animals,” and the wild, whimsical creatures like the Needless Smut. He’ll challenge you to rethink your connection to the natural world and invite you to embrace a new philosophy: Gonzovation—a fusion of creativity, conservation, and a healthy dose of madness.

Discover how art, storytelling, and passion can create a call to action for protecting our planet. By the end, you might even find yourself asking: Am I a Gonzovationist?
