Easter Activities at the Heath Robinson Museum

Claire Linge Museum Learning Officer says “Easter is a time when we all want to celebrate Spring and the return of better weather. Whatever our age, Easter with its eggs, bunnies and bonnets, is a time for us to want to enjoy life and share with our children. Giving them something useful to do and providing them with entertainment are important for us at the Museum”.

Junior Easter Crafts, Arty Spring Crafts and Easter Egg Hunt

Children can enjoy three specific Easter activities organized by the Heath Robinson Museum this coming Easter.

Junior Easter Crafts

On Wednesday 12th April 11am-12:30pm there will be special Easter Crafts for children between 4 and 7 years old. Children will be encouraged to be creative using collage and inks, and can take home any Easter decorations they make.

The workshop will be held in the Verden Gallery at West House, Pinner Memorial Park, West End Lane, Pinner HA5 1AE.  Children must be accompanied and the cost per child is £7. Booking is essential

Arty Spring Crafts

The following day there is something for the older children. On Thursday 13th April, 10.30am to 12.30pm there will be a workshop for those who are 8 plus in the Activity Room at the Museum, Pinner Memorial Park. The cost is £10 per child. Children will create a variety of fun crafty creations, such as whacky egg characters and pots of spring blooms, spring decorations that they can then take home. For this age group, children can attend on their own, without an adult. Booking is online at www.heathrobinsonmuseum.org

Easter Egg Hunt

Eggs galore! Following last year’s successful Easter Egg Hunt, this year again the Easter bunny will hide Easter eggs all around Pinner Memorial Park for children to find on Easter Saturday, April 15th from 11am to 3pm.

Children (who must be accompanied) will follow the map provided to find the eggs, answer the question on the back of each egg and bring their answer sheet back to Bunny HQ at West House for an Easter prize.

The price is £3 per child (no age restriction though it is advised that the prize may not be suitable for those aged 3 or under); no prior booking is needed.

It will all be fun – racing around looking for eggs, a short quiz answering the questions on the back of each egg and bringing back the answer sheet to Bunny HQ for a small Easter prize (not sweets or chocolate!) – what family can resist? We are hoping that the Easter sun is shining to make it a memorable and good day out.
