Trustee Cliff Lichfield originally volunteered after retiring in 2000. Cliff says “I felt very strongly that I wanted to give something back to the community I had been living in for 40 years. When you have a time-consuming career, you benefit greatly from the strong community that is “Pinner”. I felt that now I had the time I would like to contribute towards the community that has given me and my family so much during my working life.”
With Cliff’s background in finance he was able to transfer much-needed skills to the Trust team, making funding applications and more recently becoming Estates Manager, helping run the building project and day-to-day maintenance of the existing site. In this position, he has developed many new skills and is not averse to taking up the screwdriver himself when needed.
