Getting here

The Museum’s address is:

Heath Robinson Museum
Pinner Memorial Park
West End Lane
Pinner HA5 1AE.

Pinner is in North-West London and is on the London Underground, Metropolitan Line, just 25 minutes from Baker St. The Museum is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Pinner station (lifts in station serving both platforms). Four buses stop even closer, on Bridge St: H11, H12, H13 and 183.

If you are arriving by car, the postcode is HA5 1AE. There is a small car park at the museum with Blue Badge dedicated space. The main car park is at the bottom of the park (right out of the museum car park, right at the mini roundabout into Chapel Lane and right just before the railway bridge). From there, it’s just five minutes’ walk up through the park to the museum. Follow the direction of the sculpture!

There are cycle racks at the museum car park.

Heroic endeavour of a Scottish gentleman to keep his family afloat after a boating accident on Loch Lomond Pinner Memorial Park Pond

Families are very welcome.

Are you interested in increasing the quality time spent with your children? The Museum aims to provide an ideal environment and inspiration for creative and educational play and activities for you and your children, through organised workshops, clubs or gallery/exhibition specific activities. Whether your interests include art, illustration, poking holes in cheese, junk-modelling, history, problem-solving, inventing, engineering, weird and unlikely machines, tales of sea-serpents or romantic snails, we are sure to have something for you and your family.

In the meantime, check our What’s On page for brilliant events for children and families at West House.

The child-friendly Daisy’s in the Park café, on the ground floor of West House next door, with step-free access, offers drinks, sandwiches and light meals. Highchairs are available. There is a lovely playground in Pinner Memorial Park, outside the Museum, and an aviary with budgies. Pinner’s shops, restaurants, cafes and picturesque mediaeval High Street are five minutes’ walk away through the park.

Learning

Heath Robinson was brought up in a way that encouraged imagination and thinking outside the box. It is exactly this atmosphere that we hope to emulate at the Museum; where learning and fun go hand-in-hand. The emphasis of activities is on promoting creativity and invention, whether that be creative thinking, problem-solving, inventing ideas, stories and gadgets or creating a spectacular piece of art.

Details of our formal learning programme for schools and colleges can be found on our Education pages. All other learning events and workshops for children, young adults, families and adults are listed under What’s On and in our regular newsletter..
